A Város Mindenkie (THE CITY IS FOR ALL) is at the center of the housing movement in Hungary today. It is a group of about 50 homeless, housing poor and middle class activists who fight for the right to housing Through their nonviolent direct actions, community organizing and advocacy, they help families and individuals avoid evictions, offer advice in all areas of housing, fight state discrimination against homeless people, support families whose children had been taken away into state care because of their homelessness and lobby for free and acessible public toilets.
